Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
We have delivered bespoke training for the governors of Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, as well as working in conjunction with Barnsley Youth Council to help the trust engage more effectively with young people.
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust
We assisted this mental health trust in recruiting 3,000 members for its public constituencies in time for the trust's first election in January 2007.
Birmingham Children's Hospital
We supported the trust in its NHS Foundation Trust application by running a targeted campaign to recruit 2,000 members right across the area served by the trust. This included recruiting young people aged 14 to 17 years old.
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust
We have supported the trust in its NHS foundation trust application by running targeted recruitment campaigns.
Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust
We assisted this mental health Trust in the face to face recruitment of 2,000 members.
Chelsea and Westminster Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
TCC provided advice on how the Trust presented its case during a reconfiguration process. We interviewed senior staff to gain insight into their understanding of the situation and used that to make recommendations as to the narrative and broad message the hospital should present to the review. TCC continue to do work with the Trust on promoting governor elections and raising awareness about the role and responsibility of the Trust.
Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Working with the trust’s governors, we delivered bespoke training to support their development as both a team and individuals.
Christie Hospital NHS Trust
We assisted this specialist Trust in the recruitment of 3,000 members using a combination of face to face and telephone recruitment.
Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
We supported the Trust in its preliminary consultation, deploying a 'road show' approach to ensure the consultation reached all parts of urban and rural Cumbria. We also assisted the Trust identify potential Governor candidates, undertaking audience building work for a series of Governor Candidate Induction workshops we led in venues across the county.
Dudley Group of Hospitals NHS Trust
We assisted this acute Trust in the recruitment of over 6,000 members, a proportion of which was carefully targeted to ensure the recruitment of members from a range of hard to reach groups.
Ealing NHS Trust
We have provided a range of services to support the Trust in its preparation for foundation trust status. This has included development work with the Board of Directors to develop their understanding of the potential of members and Governors; a Training and Support Needs Analysis with newly elected Governors and induction training to assist newly elected Governors understand their role and develop as a team.
East London NHS Foundation Trust
We assisted this Trust in the recruitment of over 5,000 members through a combination of approaches including telephone recruitment via attitudinal survey and more traditional face to face recruitment in a range of locations within the communties served by the Trust.
East Somerset NHS Trust
We have supported the trust with its NHS foundation trust application by running targeted recruitment campaigns.
Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Trust
We supported the trust with its NHS foundation trust application, by running targeted communication campaigns to recruit 10,000 members to the trust.
Hertfordshire MH Trust
We assisted the Trust in the rapid recruitment of 1,000 members at a critical point in its foundation trust application.
Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Trust
We recruited over 3,500 public members for Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Trust.
Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
We supported the trust by running targeted campaigns to recruit 1,000 new members.
Kettering NHS Trust
We worked with the Trust over several months assisting them in a range of ways to prepare for foundation trust status. We undertook membership recruitment on a face to face basis working on and off the hospital site. Maximising the benefits of the Trust membership has been a key objective of the Trust and we have worked with the Trust Board to explore this in more detail. We have also conducted a series of Governor Candidate Induction workshops.
Liverpool Women's Hospital Trust
Our work with this Trust has involved the recruitment of 7,000 members and also post authorisation work developing a Governor-led campaign to retain key trust services. We utilised a range of tools to mobilise the support of members and the public to support the Trusts cause.
Milton Keynes NHS Trust
Through a series of projects we recruited 5,700 members for this Trust. We also originated, designed, printed and organised the despatch of the Trusts New Members Welcome pack.
Morecombe Bay NHS Trust
We worked with the Trust to build their membership community - recruiting a further 2,500 members and re-engaging with a similar number of members who joined as part of an earlier FT application. We have also worked with the Trust Board to prepare for the new governance arrangements.
Musgrove Park NHS Trust
In 2004, we helped the trust design and implement its foundation trust consultation strategy, which included conducting research as well as creating and managing a PR strategy.
NHS Direct
NHS Direct as a unique national provider of healthcare services and advice sought our advice in developing its foundation trust application. We developed the Membership Development Strategy, 'membership offer' and recruitment campaign plan.
We were asked to develop a membership recruitment strategy for one of the first Ambulance Trusts in the country working towards Foundation Trust status. We provided training to paramedics and other staff on membership recruitment and have successfully recruited 4000 members for the Trust. We have recently secured a new contract for more membership development work and will be guiding NEAS towards authorisation.
Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Trust
We have supported the Trust in several recruitment campaigns utilising both face to face recruitment in local communities and also our telephone recruitment via attitudinal survey that had an over 60% success rate as an approach to recruit new members.
Northumbria Healthcare NHS trust
We have worked with the trust to develop a membership and communications strategy which enables it to engage with its diverse and geographically widespread community. We helped them recruit 10,000 members and have also provided bespoke training for their governors.
Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
We have worked with Papworth Hospital throughout and since its application process for foundation trust status, helping recruit and retain a balanced and representative membership of 4,000 people. We have also provided bespoke training for its new governors.
Pennine Care NHS Trust
We planned, delivered and evaluated training and support for potential candidates in the inaugral elections for Member Councillors. We delivered several Board develoment sessions, ran a training needs analysis for Member Councillors and then planned, ran and evaluated the subsequent training.
Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust
We have supported the trust with its NHS foundation trust application by running targeted communication campaigns to recruit 8,000 members.
Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust
We undertook a membership recruitment project for this mental health trust using a combination of face to face recruitment in local communities and telephone work.
Rotherham General Hospitals NHS Trust
We undertook a systematic and rigorously targeted recruitment drive, to help the trust redress imbalances in the profile of its membership. This included recruiting 2,000 new members.
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust
We have supported the trust with its NHS foundation trust application by running targeted campaigns to recruit 5,000 members. We have also assisted the trust in identifying governor candidates, ensuring a successful by-election in one difficult-to-reach constituency, and raising election awareness amongst members. We continue to help the Trust top up it’s members and have a strong relationship beyond foundation trust authorisation.
Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust
We have supported the trust with its NHS foundation trust application by running targeted campaigns to recruit 7,630 new members.
Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We have supported the trust with its NHS foundation trust application by running targeted campaigns to recruit 1,600 new members.
Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital (AlderHey)
We have assisted the Trust in the recruitment of over 5,000 patient, carer and public members ensuring the population of constituencies across the North West and North Wales. The specialist nature of this Trust found us recruiting members from the age of seven years - the youngest age group with which we have worked.
Sheffield Children's NHS Trust
We supported the trust with its foundation trust application by running targeted campaigns to recruit nearly 2,000 members. This includes targeting people in under-represented areas, whilst also improving the diversity of their membership.
Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust
We developed a membership recruitment strategy which would achieve a membership of 4,500 in 4 months. We achieved this target and continued onto recruiting a further 2000 members for the Trust.
South Manchester University Hospital NHS Trust
We are working with the Trust Board to deliver bespoke training in early 2007 for the newly elected Council of Governors.
St Helen's and Knowsley Hospitals Trust
We have supported the trust with its NHS foundation trust application by running targeted campaigns to recruit 6,630 new members.
South West Yorkshire Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
Our membership recruitment work for this mental health trust provided them with 1,500 new members.
Wirral Hospitals NHS Trust
We have supported the Trust with its NHS foundation trust application by running targeted campaigns to recruit 5,000 members. This included producing the new members' packs.
Worthing and Southlands Hospital NHS Trust
TCC provided advice on how the Trust presented its case during a recent reconfiguration process. We conducted research into the reconfigurations, including attending a number of the relevant consultation meetings. We used the insight we gathered to make recommendations as to the narrative and positive communications message the hospital should present to the review.
